About Me

Hi! I’m Gemma. I got married in August 2021 and yes, I was a pandemic bride. I had to postpone my wedding twice, losing my dream venue in the process, but I gained some great experience in planning a wedding three times - and getting to marry the same guy!

Despite the rocky road to finally having our big day, it turned out to be completely perfect. However, when I woke up the next morning I had absolutely no pictures or videos to look at on my phone and began scrambling about asking friends and family to send me over anything they had on WhatsApp.

As lovely as the pictures were, by the time they were taken it was nearer the end of the day when my make up had melted and my hair had dropped. There definitely weren’t many videos (other than some of my dodgy dancing at the end of the night) so there was little for me to cobble together for that Insta-worthy ‘So, we did a thing’ post, the next day.

So, when I first heard about wedding content creators, it really struck a chord with me. I knew if it was something available to me less than two years ago then I would have certainly been adding one to my supplier list.

Unfortunately I couldn’t rewind time, but what I could do is provide this new trend for future newlyweds in the South East of England.

I’m based in Essex but cover other areas of the South East including London and Suffolk.

As well as a wedding content creator, I’m a freelance journalist and have worked for a number of publications including The Sun, Daily Mail, The Mirror and the BBC.

I’m also a new mum to a little boy… and his older fur brother, a ginger toy poodle called Fraser.
